Rainbow Pixie the trio of South Korean girl singers, is the first unit of the seven-all girls K-pop group Rainbow.
Rainbow had their debut mini-album released on November, 2009 with the hit song 'Gossip Girl.' And also in this year, the group was being compared to another all-girl group Fin.K.L. and were told that the girls of Rainbow were physically inferior to the girls of Fin.K.L. and that their 'so-called' single was just to promote the group but truthfully there was no recording at all.
The Rainbow girls were challenged and released their debut single 'Gossip Girl' and rumors were quickly erased that the Rainbow girls are here, for real.
Rainbow also recorded Japanese songs and impresses hosts of various tv shows and audiences that easily, the girls endeared Japanese K-pop music lovers.
On January 3, 2012, DSP Media, the group's agency, announced that they will form units per units of Rainbow and from the original seven member, a trio was formed and the first unit was called 'Rainbow Pixie.'
Rainbow Pixie is composed of Jisook, Seungah and HyunYong and released their debut single 'Hoi Hoi' early this January. This is just the beginning for future plans for the group Rainbow and the units to be formed in it.
